ABOUT C3VIAI + SAEF
What This Platform Is
C3VIAI + SAEF is a demonstration platform for precursor interdiction and probabilistic attribution. It shows how handheld Raman identifications, cross-checkpoint correlation, SAEF evidence organization, and GC/MS contaminant profiling can be integrated into a single analyst workflow.
MISSION
Explainable Attribution, Not Black-Box Outputs
The core design principle of C3VIAI + SAEF is that every finding must be explainable. Correlation scores show their contributing factors. Attribution hypotheses list their evidence and their limitations. Alerts require analyst approval before any action is taken. The system supports human judgment — it does not replace it.
Explainability First
Every score, match, and hypothesis surfaces its contributing factors. Analysts see why the system flagged something, not just that it did.
Human Decision Required
No alert is acted on without analyst review. No report is issued without supervisor approval. The platform supports human judgment at every step.
Stated Limitations
Every attribution hypothesis includes a limitations section. The platform does not overstate confidence. Uncertainty is surfaced, not hidden.
Chain of Custody Throughout
Every Raman event, GC/MS result, and evidence item carries a chain-of-custody identifier from the moment it enters the system.
